The diving robot includes the 8-pound submersible, control box, 40 m (131ft) of neutrally bouyant tether, manual, and tool kit.

All components fit neatly in a water tight pelican case that fits inside the boot of a car or in airline luggage compartments.

The entire system weighs 32kg (70lbs).

The Diving robot is depth rated to 91m (300ft). Among the robots features are a new skid and nozzles developed by NASA, a boost in thrust by nearly 80 % over previous models, and also a three-axis joystick. The video eye glasses are also included.

The diving robot includes a colour camera and a 5 " LCD colour display monitor. An external video monitor/recomposite video input- typically a TV/VCR combination - is recommended.

The tether deployment system (TDS) is an excellent option for quick tether.
